When I did the transpose to change from 2 sharp to natural, why there is the natural symbol in the very left of the staff. Can we delete that symbol?. or we leave it there.

General Discussion / sluring Soprano note to Alto Note
Hello, what is the purpose of the sluring the Soprano note to Alto note like here in the attachment. Actually it has already had 4 beats in the soprano in the measure. When we spilt this staff , it will usually has a problem. Anyway what is the purpose when we split the staves, in the third promt it says nosingle. Does it have any relation to this kind of Notes like in the picture?

Hi Lawrie, Sorry I unintended remove the posting about transpose the staff. When I edited my reply,  I saw it created 2 times below, so I pressed remove at the left bottom, and it removed the whole postings. I do not know what should I change in my page setup, why on my soprano and alto staves, there are extra blank spaces between my lyrics and the number note. I want it to be like my bass staff the number note, is just above the lyrics. See attached.

General Discussion / shifted slur when the staves splitted
Hello,
I tried to split the staves using the user tools, starter then parts. My question is in the original (see attached, what does it mean from the soprano note slured to Alto note, and when I split it, even the slur is for soprano and the note in the soprano the 1/8 note changed to rest. How can I correct it, should I correct it manually reinstate again the 1/8 note for Soprano? and what shall I do with the slur.

Thanks for any help, because I want to change it to number note for practice in our Indonesian SDA church.

Hello,

I learnt from this forum that in order to show  up export nwd into midi playing in vaBAsco Kareoke, we should insert a rest and tempo 750. I did it last time with the expected result. Now when I tried to do the same on another song, the measure is too long. How can I make it to be short like the successful one (see attached).

General Discussion / Beaming with another note in the sopranostaff
Hello,

I was trying to keying the note from the song sheet. I see in the song sheet that from the alto staff is beaming to the sopranto staff for the sake of good look. How can we do it in the Noteworthy. See attached i put the one from the song sheet and the one from the one that I keyed in in the Noteworthy.
More over, here in the song sheet, soprano, alto and tenor use one type of keysignature, why they put it like that.

Anyway how can I send a pdf, so that anyone can see the whole song, because, I do not know how to match the wordings with the note of Bass, It could be not the same syllable

Hello,

Is there any way how to make a song book, for different notes in each voice. As per attached, I need to layer tenor to Bass, when it comes to the chorus, how to make it like in the song book, it can show  just one line for all voices for the same number of notes, and  the second line for the different number of notes ( see attached).
Hope you understand what I mean, because I can not express it well in English.

Hello,

What is the easiest way to make a number note,, see attached, I know we type it as a lyric word, e.g: 1(do) with delay, we can type it as l ( lower case) and beside is dot., but for 1(do) with the valuse of 1/8, w/16. How can we make it. Also for 4 for sharp and 5 for flat, how can we make it, there is no character(alphabet) that way.

General Discussion / Rule of the stem up and stem
Hello,

Since to lengthen  the stem  of  a note takes long time. Is there any rule that we make it like the song score sheet?. I had in mind  like this ( see attached). All notes in soprano staff will be stem up, and all the notes in the Alto will be stem down. So we do not need to lenghthen notes to make it even,, otherwise it will be  like the the layered  Tenor and Bass staves, the value of the note looks different then the original.

I want to screen record each voice so that the singers can learn their voice. But when it comes to layer with next staffs in order to be able to print it as a song sheet, the lyrics is not even or unsynchronized.
My question how can we make the lyrics of 2 to 4th staff unvisible, sothat it just shows the full lyric of? the 1st staff.

See attached, it is because of some notes in the other staves are not the same in tempo/value of the note.

I tried to lower the pitch to 2 semintones, however, 1 flat singn in the original signature, became 2 flat sign (see attached). My question is it normal simbol, I never see 2 flat sign in front of the note.

Hello,
When I recall back to like 10 years ago when we 're in Indonesia, it seems that there is like a digital way to enter the note?, by make a copy of the song book, then we scan it at oou printer scan, than it will send like a fax to our Notewothy composer at our laptop.
Anyone knows about it?, because this is my problem now entering manually the note.

Changing the starting pitch is easy like explained here in this forum on how to transporse by Richard.

I have keyed in the notes of a song, when trying to sing with it, I feel the pitch is too high, so I want it to be 3 sharp instead of 3 flat. To change the keysignature is easy, but how about the notes. Is there any fast way to change them on the staffs.

General Discussion / how to make a song sheet

When I filled in the text of each voice/staff, then I wanted to make a song sheet by layering 2nd staff to 1st staff and the 4th staff to 3rd staff, and I do not want to see duplicate lyrics, so I just want to keep lyrics of the first staff,he problem is how can I put the needed lyrics of the 3rd or 4th staff for certain section (see attached marked), so that we can really make it look like the song sheet.

On other thing what is the best instrument that I can assign to 1st tenor, 2nd tenor, Baritone Bas, so that when the four of us listening, we can easily recognize how does it sound for our own voice. In Indonesia we have to translate the note into number, then we sing it like do, re me, pa, sol las si do. But here in the west, we just listen to the software.

Hello,

We have the old song in our dialect (Batak), but when I tried to enter the note in the software, it looks the followings are weird:
1. the rest sign of the 1/8 note is different look
2. the time signature is 3/4, there should be 3 of 1/4 note in a measure, but in many measures if you see in the staff, the are only 2 1/2 value of 1/4 note.

Attached is the note in question, sorry if I do not know how to say it in English

General Discussion / The best application to remove the music/instrument
Hello,
Based on your experience what is the best application/software that can remove the instrument completely. Because what I did is trying to sing for each voice on each staff with the piano, then I want to remove the music then I combine the 4 voices to procude the quartet in acapella. I try to use Audacity, but the result is not good.

Hello, for Indonesian people, although we have been living in the USA, it is still easier to learn songs in our church, with singing it in Number notes.  I can key the number in the lyric place but I have problem if the notes are sharps or flats, I have to onward slash for the sharp and back slash for the flats for numbers.
Any idea how can I do it? for exmapler 1, I have ro onward slash it for the sharp, and back slash fro flat. Also I have problems in making the 1 short line or 2 short lines for the caps of 1/8 note and 1/16 note.

Hello, I have 2 questions:
1. What cleff is this, because I want to key in the notes into Noteworthy composer.

2. I am not a good singer, but we try to have a senior quartet (old people), and for the first note, how does it sound, I want to use the pitch pipe tuner a Precise 13 note Chromatic C-C scale, as we see the song sheet, the key signnature is 4 flats. How can we use  my  pitch pipe tuner in order to know the pitch of the 2nd tenor first note. I tired to google but I did not find.

General Discussion / Uneven beat between Notes in alto staff and notes in Tenor/bass staff
Hello I confused in the attached shows that the beat for each measure is 2 beats ( quarter notes), however in the Tenor/bass staff, it is 4 beats, and one is slurred to the next staff. This is the songsheet of " Joy to the World". This resutls in uneven number of staff. Above is staff number 14 and below is no. 14 but longer staff for tennor staff. Any body can help me how can I sort it out.

Hello, I have filled out the note on the 4 staves. When we practice, my friend say can you change it to 2 #. I saidm let me try. But when I put the 2 # key to the neutral/no key, the pitch is higher but other voices sound weird.

Hello,

Is there any effect on the sounds if we do not put the bracket in front of the 4 staffs?. When we see the songbook and my NWC input, I tried to put Andante and Note on each staff, worrying that would be any effect on sound if I do  not put it. Is it just on Sopranno Staff?. How can I write the Soprano..Alto, Tenor, Bas in front of the staf, Can I?
After I keyed all the notes on all the 4 staffs, I would screen record it for each staff/Sound. My question is. When we play soprano, it will highlight the note and word as it is playing. Is there any way to make only highlighting the soprano, so that people can see the video, that is is the sound of Soprano. Or anyway to hide the other 3 staffs during the demo of the soprano?.

General Discussion / quarter note's rest out side of the staff
Hello, I am keying now the Bass staff but on Measure 15, I do not understand why the rest sign put outside of the staff, and if I put it on the staff, the time of this measure is not gonna be 4 beats. Can anyone explain what is the purpose of this?. Even though without the count of the rest, the beat is already 5 beats in measure 15, and is not gonna be alligned with the tenor's measure. How come the writer can make it alligned.

My other question is if on Tenor there is a sign of P Dynamic variance, and none in Bass, is it normal?.

In the attached note, I wanted to put a tie to the note with a sharp, but I could not put it, the tie curve will go long forward to another measures. I can make it if there is no sharp sign before the note. Anyone can help me like the one in the song sheet?.
