Be aware that you will need the NWC 2.8 beta version of the Viewer installed to use the "Play to" feature.
A-ha!
I seemed to remember that it was possible, but I was unable to discover how.
Indeed, in the last reinstall I installed the viewer 2.75a 2.
Probably I didn't keep the original installation file waiting for the official relase... :(
Where can I find version 2.8 beta?

Hey Lorenzo,
I'm afraid I can't help you with GoldWave as I've never seen it, but I imagine the basic principles that apply to using Audacity will work the same.

Otherwise, did you know you can export to mp3 or Flac directly from the NWC Viewer?

You just need to make sure your preferred soundfont is installed.

Set/check soundfont in |Tools|Soundfont...

Do the export using:
|File|Play to...

Or, you could just install Audacity...  It's free.

General Discussion / Wav and MP3 files from NWC.

Good morning (even if it rains a lot here),
I read in the "frequently asked questions" the steps to follow to create Wav and MP3 files from NWC.
I don't have Audacity but GoldWave. Is it possible to achieve the same result with this software?
Since I don't find a perfect correspondence in the description of the procedure, I also ask if the steps are identical with Windows 11 too.
I thank you in advance and greet you cordially.

Hey Opagust,
Like many of us we're needing to find ways to exchange our NWC-based music to other folks who are using MusicXML.
I'd love to try your NWCConvertor, but can't register on https://www.opagust.be/user/register
I get
"403
Sorry, this page is only for people I recognize
Please introduce yourself"

But I can't login if I haven't registered (you'll probably see my attempt to reset my password, but I've never registered there, so I doubt it will work).
EDIT: Lawrie has set me straight. I can now get in with the login you mentioned at the very top of this post. Thanks, Lawrie!

I sometimes itch to get back to programming for music, but so many people have already solved my needs that I find little need to sweat over code any more! And my code with NWC was really messy!!
