Bug in NoteWorthy Player

I made an NWC file for the bug.

Like this file: notes colored in highlights.




(This file is meaningless.)

I viewed this file in NWPlayer.

Nothing strange is on.

Then I pressed the button "Play". And.....

The highlighted notes turned into black notes after playing them!
The color has changed!!!




That is.... I think it is a serious bug.

I didn't see it.  The notes returned to their original color after being played.

One problem with red is notes are changed to that color while they are playing.  When the notes are already red nothing happens.

I discovered something when looking at this.  After recreating his sample, saving, and closing it I found the file under "Recent" and right clicked on it, expecting to browse my program files to find the player for the "Open with ?" question.  Didn't need to: had the options of open with NWC1, NWC2, play, or view.  The last two took me to the player.

I have had only two occasions to use color: 1) Getting ready to make a cut in a multipart score and I would color the first barline I keep in all parts. This would be changed back when done. 2) A violin plays every other 16th note on an open string and there is no way in NWC to put alternate notes on separate beams and mesh them like two combs.

You should realize that NWPlayer.exe hasn't changed in over 5 years. AFAIK, development ceased in January 2004.

I don't know...I thought it was called NWPlayer, not NWDisplayer...

G'day Sesirine,
like Warren, I have been unable to duplicate the problem, perhaps a video driver update is indicated?  There are some strange things that happen with some video drivers.

On another tack, am I right in assuming you've created your own system font?
I plays 'Bones, crumpets, coronets, floosgals, youfonymums 'n tubies.

We see it. There are no near term plans to update the Player program. The NWC Viewer is currently the recommended free program to use.

Sorry. I've been misunderstood.

I don't live in countries that uses languages like English, so I thought your sentences literally.

I've already downloaded it and using it. I like that program.

(I've never tried) But can *.nwctxt files be opened by 2.0 Viewer?
I once downloaded a file and opened it with "NoteWorthy Composer 2 Viewer."
As soon as I opened, there was a cursor warning: Launch Failure.

Can't NWC 2.0 Viewer open the *.nwctxt files?
