Short length hidden staves. 2008-10-18 08:07 pm I am sure this has been raised before, but I cannot track down the subject. Sometimes I want to add a hidden staff for only a few bars, where there is a tricky bit of notation, perhaps involving chords and rests or the like. But I have to fill in the whole of the hidden staff with rests, just to create a few bars. Is there a work around?Tony Quote Selected
Re: Short length hidden staves. Reply #2 – 2008-10-18 10:56 pm I copy a whole rest and a bar line to the clipboard and start pasting to the staff until I reach the trouble spot. If it is on a layered staff, I would make the whole rest hidden before taking it to the clipboard, leaving the bar lines visible. You probably knew this already, but unless there is a user tool I don't know about I have to agree with Lawrie that this step is unavoidable. Sorry. Quote Selected
