The Scriptorium has been updated with a new page that lists the non standard fonts (i.e. those that are not installed with Windows) that have been configured in certain nwc files that are available for download from the Scriptorium.

The Scriptorium will either be hosting the font for easy download, or if the font is a commercial font, a link will point to where you can get it. There may also be a link to an alternate free font where one has been found.

In addition, where a Scriptorium file has had a non standard font configured, then the accompanying info file (the more link on composers' pages) has also been updated with the font name and where to download it.

Hi Rich,
Kim's Lost Melody seems to have a leeeetle problem.  The instrument patch for the piano sets the MSB to 127 which results in percussion sounds on my Yamaha synth.  I don't if this would apply to all synths, and I asume it sounds fine on Kim's but I suspect it won't share well...

Sounds pretty goood with an accoustic grand though...

At first I got a message that the Lost Melody file was corrupted at the end of the download.  It opened when I went to my download directory except the lyrics look strange.

I downloaded 'SwingDings.zip', 'MusikDingsSans.zip', and "MusikDingsSerif.zip', then looked at the 'zip' contents with WinZip.  It shows the files with dates of 2006-2008.  What did I do wrong?

the only files that changed are NWC2SwingDings.ttf, NWC2MusikDingsSans.ttf and NWC2MuskiDingsSerif.ttf which should be dated:
2010-11-24

I just did a test download of SwingDings.zip from my site and confirmed that the NWC2SwingDings.ttf contained in it is correct.
I plays 'Bones, crumpets, coronets, floosgals, youfonymums 'n tubies.

Hey Rich, need to fix an error on the scripto mate.  *Hope it wasn't my fault :O

The correct link for the system font update file is:
http://zoundz.pardyline.com.au/SupportFiles/Fonts/NWC2SystemFontUpdates.zip

To install these updates:
  • Close NWC if it's open
  • Extract the contents of the zip file to a temporary folder somewhere
  • Open the fonts folder, usually C:\Windows\fonts
  • Delete:
    • NWC2SwingDings
    • NWC2MusikDingsSans
    • NWC2MusikDingsSerif
    • NWC2HiVisLP
  • Copy the fonts from the temporary folder to the Windows\Fonts folder
  • Start NWC 2.5 and enjoy :)
