Re: Scriptorium Update Reply #152 – 2008-08-09 12:53 pm Rich,I realise that most of the Eagle Earing is done in the Newsgroup, but my computer is on the blink. Please tell Josh Hauck that in "Hear my prayer, o Lord" by Purcell bar 16 needs attention.I have never seen the organ part, but I am quite sure that the first notes in bar 16 of Organ 2 and 3 should be natural, to concur with the tenor part.cheers,Rob. Scriptorium Update 29th May 2009 Reply #197 – 2009-05-29 04:16 pm Folks,This week's update takes the form of two items. The update itself and also a Personal update.Personal UpdateYou will recall that I wrote notifying you that the next Scriptorium update would be end of May or the beginning of June. The reason for the break is that I have just undergone (12th May) open heart surgery and am now in the middle of a period of recovery where I am not allowed to do that much at all. Fortunately, the weight of my laptop just falls within the amount that I am allowed to pick up.The open heart surgery included an aortic valve replacement, a triple bypass and having to deal with something called a left branch bundle heart communications problem. I am on the mend but the recovery period is approximately 3 months and I am told and even then, I will have various issues for a while after. The only reason for particularly letting you know about this is I felt that, if necessary, I could give advice and experience to any that found themselves/friends/family in the same situation. I will of course have a particular insight with respect to how it impacts singing and lung capacity etc.Scriptorium UpdateAs previously promised, the Scriptorium has now been updated with all of the music files that were located on Tina Billett's "Keyboard Creations" site. The Keyboard Creations site was taken down by Tina's ISP and I obtained permission from her family to reproduce it, as a mark of remembrance, on the Scriptorium. The Keyboard Creations site can be accessed by going to the URL http://nwc-scriptorium.org/kc_index.htmlFrom there, you can navigate through Tina'a site as it was, the last time she updated it. Midi files that were originally on Tina's site have not been re-created.All of the nwc files on the representation of Tina's site can also accessed using the standard methods on the Scriptorium. In other words, all of Tina's files can be retrieved using the Scripto search engine, catalogues, pdf catalog and standard composer pages. The same nwc files are pointed to by different html pages. The following is the list of Tina's files added to the Scriptorium this week:Mahler Titan, individual movements (Mahler)Symphonies No 1 to 6,8, 9(Schubert)Bartered Bride - Dance of the Comedians, Polka, Furiant, Overture (Smetana)The Mauldau, From Bohemian Fields and Groves (Smetana)The Nutcracker Suite (Tchaikovsky)Marche Slave (Slavonic March) (Tchaikovsky)Capriccio Italien (Tchaikovsky)Tannhäuser - Overture (Dresden version) (Wagner)Tannhäuser - Entry of the Guests (Wagner)Piano Concerto, movements 2 and 3 (Grieg)Peer Gynt Suite 1 (Grieg)Peer Gynt Suite 2 (Grieg)Pomp & Circumstance Marches 1,2,4 (Elgar)Symphoony No 8, Movements 1,2,3 & 4 (Dvorak)Fantasie (Chopin)Etude in C Minor Op.10, No12 - Revolutionary (Chopin)Waltz in Db Major Op.64, No. 1 Minute (Chopin)Nocturne in Eb Major Op.9 No 2 (Chopin)Egmont Op.84 (Beethoven)Coriolanus Op.62 (Beethoven)Leonore No 1 Op.138 (Beethoven)Leonore No 2 Op.72 (Beethoven)Leonore No 3 Op.72 (Beethoven)Fidelio Op.72 (Beethoven)The Creatures of Prometheus Op 43. Re: Scriptorium Update Reply #199 – 2009-05-29 09:58 pm That's odd. I tried to look up "The Mauldau, From Bohemian Fields and Groves (Smetana)"by browsing by composer, finding Smetana... and I found the Bartered Bride, the Dance of the Comediens and the Bride's Lament. But not the Mauldau. That's why I looked it up in the first place, because the river in question is called "Die Moldau", and I just wondered how it would have landed on the Scrypto.Am I overlooking anything?cheers,Rob.
