Feature Question (If it is in the software)

Is there any way to create a multi-measure rest? (A large bar within a measure with a number above it signifying the number of measures the rest is)

This point has been dealt with extensively over the years. Rather than directing you to all the relevant message threads, you might find it useful to search the NWC site with the words "multiple rests" , or similar.  For me this brought up threads as far back as six years ago, with some useful discussion on the subject.  HTH

You use a combination of a text entry and hidden rests.

Use the Boxmark2 font, which you can download from the Scriptorium, you can get a multibar rest sign which is a little different than you might expect, but the musician reading it will understand it.  The number fits in a gap in the middle of the rest sign, rather than above it.

If you want 8 bars rest, for instance, enter 8 whole rests and corresponding bar lines.  Highlight and hide everything in these 8 bars except the beginning and ending bar lines.  Then, having installed Boxmark2 as a userfont, you just type a few spaces, add opening and closing square parentheses and an 8 in the middle, like so: [ 8 ]

Drop it after one of the whole rests - I usually insert it between the second and third rests.  Set this text to preserve width, and it should print out just fine.  You need to use the hidden whole rests to preserve your bar count, but they won't take up space when printed.

It is covered in https://forum.noteworthycomposer.com/?topic=2316.  In addition to multi-measure rests, it also covers how to make sure tempo markings and rehearsal letters show up in every part as well as cues.

...by way of summary: NWC1.75 doesn't have an automatic mutli-bar rest feature. But you can place the visible equivalent using text graphics, as explained on those other threads.
