Exporting NWC to Midi

Hi all,

Can someone please explain if, and if so how, I can export a NWC file for voices (SATB) in 4 different midi-files each holding just one voice (Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass).

Thanks in advance

Best regards
Gerard

Copy the SATB file four times and rename as appropriate, like Requiem.nwc to RequiemSOP.nwc . Then delete all but the soprano part. Do this for each part and export to midi.

If each voice is on its own staff, there is an easier way. Go to Tools > Mute List... or press the M key. That will show all of the staves in your score. Click "Mute All" and then unmute the staff for the part you want to export. Click OK, and then go to File > Export and save that part. Repeat the process by muting/unmuting the staves you want to be included in the export.

Dear Gerard,
It all depends off course how you want to use the midi files, but most midi capable programs recognize multi track midi files and allow to “solo” only one track.
If that’s the only thing you needs I would prefer to keep all voices in only one midi file.
Of course, if your situation requires separate files, you can always follow the instructions that Warren and Mike gave
