Multi-Measure Rest Displays in Multiple Staves

Hello,

I am writing out a piano score for a musical, in which both the treble and bass staves have the same multi-measure rest (while other members of the orchestra continue to play. Those other parts are not included in this score (piano only).

How can I print with the multi-measure rests appearing in both clefs (and not automatically displaying measures of rest in its place)?

Thanks!

Please visit nwc-scriptorium.org/wp and note the five instructions for User Tools Scripts for NWC, then download and install Multi Measure Rests.  Instructions for using it are in the first few lines--it can create MMRs or back them out.

BTW, nwc-scriptorium.org is an excellent resource for NWC users.

Version 2.75 has native multi measure rests IIRC... (I'm using 2.8 beta and it definitely does)

I faced the same problem as you, in that simultaneous multi-measure rests (MMRs) in two staves were getting rendered at "print" time as several full-measure rests instead of as MMRs.

The solution that worked for me:  in the properties (Ctrl+E) of each of the simultaneous MMRs, change "Show on printed" to be "Multi Staff Prints".

This even worked when one of my staves was in a "collapsible section" (from menu item "Insert / Boundary Change").
