Exporting Question

Is there a way to export (to midi) selected staves rather than the whole score?
I am in a choir & would like to practice certain parts.
I am a newbie to Noteworthy & would appreciate simple explanation.  Thanks.

Save your song. Delete the staves you don't want. Use the Revert File Command after you generate the MIDI.

You might try the Mute List and let NWC handle playback rather than a MIDI application.

I'm not currently in a position to try this - I'm in a motel on the Oregon coast - but wouldn't simply muting a staff keep it out of the MIDI export?

That will keep the note on/off(s) out of the export, but there was a specific request to keep it simple. If you delete a staff, it should be obvious that it will not be exported.

Is this just for your self or for other members of your section/choir?  Have you tried the Viewer/Player?  It's free and users can mute staves at will.

Also the VanBasco midi/karaoke player can also mute and/or highlight parts but it can't show the staff, much less show the notes being played/sung.

Try to avoid muting staves on an export to midi.  Since users can mute parts while learning it, they can also hear what the whole thing sound like when they like.
