multi part score

ok, don't want to exhaust my newbie quota for the day, but here's a general question.

perhaps someone can point me in the right direction.

I want to enter a Quartet score in Noteworthy that has multiple parts (its a four part piece).

Is there a way to do that as a whole project ? or do I create each part as a separate file ? also per instrument ?

I know I can create a conductor's score with all the instruments together, but can that be separated out into individual sections easily ?

thanks!!

G'day again metafizx,
I do this all the time...

Couple of topics on this forum that cover the question:

my:

which links to:
http://nwc-scriptorium.org/helpful.html#Explanations

and Warren Porter's:

There are probably other explanations too, and given human creativity, there is nothing definitive about either document.  You may find a combination of things suits you better.  Over time as you become more familiar with NWC2 you will doubtless work out your own preferred methods.

I plays 'Bones, crumpets, coronets, floosgals, youfonymums 'n tubies.

I can't link to the pdf file.  When I click on it, it brings me back to this thread, then stops (Message at bottom says "stopped.")

Just checked the file and it downloads OK for me.

Sending you a PM (Personal Message) and if you let me know your email address, I will send it to you.

Thanks!  I'm not a composer, but my main use for noteworthy is to pick up some old songs I knew as a kid and perhaps compile a book for my great-grandchildren, and other little ones in the family.  Meanwhile, I'm having a little fun playing with it.  A question - do most people use an instrument interfaced with the computer for composition?  I'm just doing stuff directly on the computer.

A little of both is seen here. Some people do use a midi keyboard attached to the computer, some like me just transcribe it by hand into the program. Either way works well. You do not need to be a composer to enjoy working with Noteworthy Composer. Though I have tried my hand at some limited composing, my main use for it was to do lead sheets that I could easily transpose for the different instruments I play. Good luck with your project and welcome to the forums. You will find they full of very helpful and knowledgeable people.
