Foot-Control to PAGE_DOWN Print Preview screen?

Is anyone familiar with a foot-pedal that would send the command "PAGE_DOWN" to Windows (XP)?

While viewing NWC compositions in Print-Preview with the monitor in Portrait-Mode, (much better than Landscape-Mode for filling up the screen with the composition),  I want to be able to page-down with a foot-pedal while playing a musical instrument.

...or better yet...
a way to configure the MIDI keyboard so that one of the keys or buttons causes a PAGE-DOWN command to be sent.

G'day Doc,
welcome to the forum.

Now, I looked at an electronic music stand application some time ago but decided there were aspects of it that I didn't like*.  However, one of the accessories available for it was...:  Ta-Daa-aaa:

a foot pedal to do just what you're asking.

I can't think of any way of sending MIDI data to do the same task without writing a specific application for the job.  Perhaps the foot pedal, if the switches are not too hard to operate by hand, could be mounted in easy reach on the keyboard.

That said, Belkin used to have (maybe they still do) a USB game controller that had an application which allowed you to program it's buttons.  A young man from my church used one of these to create his own foot pedal, by remounting the circuit board in a more robust case - perhaps you could use this approach to make a finger operated unit that sits on your keyboard.

<edit> *In hindsight I should qualify this - if I could have economically arranged a display unit to suit me then the aspects of MusicReader that I felt were limiting could have been overlooked.  It was the combination of not being able to come up with an economical, battery powered, 20+ inch touch sensitive screen with a "silent" PC AND the parts of MusicReader I found limiting that killed it for me.

I note that there is a new major release - perhaps I should re-visit it.  http://www.musicreader.net

I think that I can help with this, our customers ask these questions all the time.
(As a matter of fact I'm the founder of the electronic music stand MusicReader)

The foot pedal in our shops works with all types of software and indeed emulates the Page-Up/-Down key.
There is also a wireless foot pedal solution available on our website:
http://www.musicreader.net/wireless-page-turning-device-airturn-at-104.html

The FAQ of our software manual gives an option for MIDI Page Turning:
http://docs.musicreader.net/MusicReader_FAQ#Can_I_use_MIDI_commands_to_use_MusicReader.3F
It lists a program that can do this.

Lawrie, I'm curious which aspects of our software you didn't like and which version you tried.
Could you please send me an e-mail with your suggestions?
I might be able to change things our help you to get things working.

Thank you for the links to your music viewing program and foor-pedal controller.

Does your software read NWC files from moteworthy composer?

He could develop something to read nwctxt files on his own, but may need a formal business relationship with NWC to read NWC files.  "Printing" a NWC file in a scanned file image his system could handle might be possible right away.
Since 1998

Warren is correct, MusicReader had a PDF conversion utility to import PDF's into MusicReader's database.
