Measure Number cannot shown

1)Measure Number cannot shown
I gave the Measure Number instruction (start from which bar, Boxed, Circled or Plain....etc), I can see the Measure is show on the NWC. However, when I go to the Print-Review, I couldn't see the measure number.  It also disappeared when I print it out.

Please advise what I have missed ?

2) Mesaure on each Staff
Suppose I have 6 staffs on a page.  But I only can put the Measure number on the first Staff.
How can  put it on each staff ?

The measure numbers are shown at the start of each system after the first system on the print.

Allow me to expand upon Noteworthy's reply...

When printed (and in print preview), NWC1.75 does not show EVERY measure number. Professional sheet music also does not (normally) show every measure number.

Sometimes, there is a need to show specific measure numbers. For example, maybe a certain passage starts there. During rehearsal, the performers are directed to that measure.

You can do this using text, rather than the automatic measure numbers. Simply place a text item, with that number, at the location. But the text will not automatically change its number if you change the measures.

Another method is to use a font such as "Boxmarks" (available at the Noteworthy Scriptorium). Instead of placing numbers place boxed letters. This approach is often used in sheet music.

To expand on Robert A's excellent reply:

When printing parts it is sometimes helpful to create a "tempo" staff which will be layered with the part currently being printed.  It would contain hidden bar lines and rests, but all tempos, tempo variences, rehearsal letters, and frequently referred to measure numbers would be on this staff.  As Robert said, the Boxmarks font is quite useful for this.  See also https://forum.noteworthycomposer.com/?topic=2316.

Warren, that's an excellent idea: I would have put the rehersal letters on every staff!  To expand on boxmarks: it also features boxed numbers as well as boxed letters.  You will find that both are pretty logically placed in the font.

Commercially produced music often now shows individual bar numbers - usually in a tiny font above the bar line at the beginning of each measure.  This is not consistent from publisher to publisher, but it can no longer be said to be uncommon.

Like Warren and Francis, I've started using a layered "conductor" staff for rehearsal letters and tempos, and whenever I have chords for soloists, I like to use a separate staff as well, muted and using the lyric editor.

Placing the rehearsal letters on this conductor staff makes it much easier to adjust their vertical and horizontal positions to avoid conflict with the inevitable parts that live up in leger-line land.

Typing measure numbers onto each bar of this system would be tedious, but if the line is preserved in a template, it need only be done once.  Some minor tinkering would be necessary when printing a part with a multibar rest.
