Explanation for gliss.nwc

I have downloaded the file "gliss.nwc" but unsuccesfully tried to understand what is going on in the two hidden files. Are there some kind of explanation of this specific example? A reference to "nwc-scriptorium.org/command.html" shows multiple files. Is there an explanation contained in one of these?

I believe the gliss is done with alternating mpc's on each hidden staff.  After revelaing the hidden staves, sh/F5 to listen to them one at a time.

Maybe I am the only one who find it difficult to understand the example? I have listen to - and seen the two hidden staves and their mpc-insertions. I hope someone can give me a (precise) link to an explanation if such one exist.

This is one of those "learn by taking it apart" things.

The key is that both staves sweep the same pitch at the same time, but the start of the notes is staggered (syncopated). This insures that when one note reaches the end of the sweep and has to start a new note, the other one is still playing, so you don't notice the short gap.
