I am trying to take a segment of the composition, eg 8 bars, of ALL staves to paste into another nwc composition or elsewhere in the same one. It doesn't seem possible to highlight a section of more than one staff for copy/cut purposes.?? Also the same applies to copy special - you cant highlight but parts of one staff only.?? Am I right?
Great - the Synthfont plus Merlin solution worked out very well. Thankyou. This is an interesting topic. I notice as a clarinet player , the clarinet sound is not one of the best examples of a synthetic sound. Brass, strings and keyboards come out much better, but Merlin is quite good enough. Maybe sampling is the next step up.
Has anyone had any luck finding a better quality midi player which can be used with nwc generated midi files? The only option in my Vista PC sounds makes everyone sound like a fairground organ, except piano which is passable. So I researched on the internet but couldn't get anything to work, especially since none of these things can show HELP on Vista.I've now soent as much time as I can and I am appealing for help.!
Reading the help it sometimes sounds to me I can modify a note , rest or w.h.u already in the staff ,after selecting it, instead of delete and write again. This doesn't happen. Have I read it wrong?
I made the mistake of writing a little piece for clarinet and piano in three separate files, one for each movement. Now I want them to appear consecutively on the same single score and then some adjustments will be necessary at the ends and beginnings. Any ideas of doing this easily?
When I try to edit dynamics and style markings above the stave, it usually erases the stave with notes etc as well as the characters in the directions I am trying to change. Anyone know the right way?
I wrote a little piece for clarinet and piano in f MINOR, by writing the clarinet part in the necessary written key of G minor while the piano written in F minor. That way I figured I'd have the clt part ready for the performer. It went OK. Then, to listen to the piece I transposed the clt part down 2 semi tones and there it was now in F minor per the concert sound intended. After one play, the clt sound as rendered moved down 1/2 a tone to E minor, while the written part remained correct in F minor!
Anyone seen this?
Also, in a multi staff piece how do you print out individual parts easily?
