Looking for an instrument range setting.

Currently I am fleshing out a piece of music. I'm not concerned at the moment with whether a particular instrument could play the top notes I have written in; I'll address those issues in arrangement. I am using the SF2 format with "Virtual Midi Synth" and the top notes for my bassoon just aren't playing. The issue is not with the Soundfont. The same soundfont played this piece on the first version of NWC to be released and I've double checked it to make sure the samples and the note ranges are there. I can't seem to find any limiting feature on "Virtual Midi Synth" although I'm not certain of that. The only question left is whether NWC has some feature I have yet to discover that limits the instrument note range. Anyone?

Sorry sorry sorry... foolish man. The solution was to restart NWC. The first thing you do and I failed to do it. <facepalm>
