Audio not working on Ver 2.55?

I cannot get audio to work on my new download of 2.55?

Is it just me.  My sound card is working for everything else and I made sure Noteworthy is not muted.

Thanks...

I failed to mention audio playback was working fine on all prior versions to this one for me.

Strangely, however, my Windows 7 Volume mixer only shows audio with no midi or other options available anymore and no option to expand...hmmm...

I have had also some problems with the audio with the 2.5 version. Some channels don't work or work at a very low volume, while they worked ok before the upgrade. I work with windows xp.
Can anyone help?
thanks in advance

Does the NoteWorthy Composer Viewer work?

You may want to look at the Midi Options Dialog Tab.

You might try running (Win+R) these:
Quote
dxdiag
This will verify that the MIDI subsystem is working.
In the 'Music' tab, there are some tests you can run. (AFAIK, these have been removed from Vista)

Quote
control mmsys.cpl,,2
Check to see if there is a valid device listed for 'MIDI music playback'.

Nope, neither one works.  I noticed it is not letting me choose Microsoft GS Wavetable synth, just my Audio Sound Card is only on the list.
My Sequencer progrom lets me choose either...

hmm...

I run the music tests on dxdiag and now all channels work fine. Thanks Rick!

OK I typed dxdiag into the start dialog.  It does not show anything wrong except that M-Audio Sound card is not digitally signed.
