WYSIWYG 27 years ago Another programme I am evaluating right now offers a manual cast off feature. As far as I understand, there is no such thing in NWC. You can only select the print preview option, but closing it you return to the "single line mode". Or is there any other possibility? Thanks Quote Selected
Re: WYSIWYG Reply #1 – 27 years ago Volker,Believe me you *don't* want a WYSIWYG score editor. Theywork fine for (say) 3 or 4 parts and maybe 50 to 100 bars, but much more than that and they get s l o w e r a n ds l o w e r until each key or mouse click takesresults in several seconds pause to repaint. If you're evaluating other programs make sure you loadthem up with a large score to see how they perform. Re: WYSIWYG Reply #2 – 27 years ago John is right. A good test, try importing the midi file that I did, "Thick as a Brick" into your evaluation program, and see how it all copes. If you really want to try this, get the midi file from http://homepages.tig.com.au/~boddo/midis/taab.mid and have fun:-)Adam Quote Selected

Re: WYSIWYG Reply #4 – 23 years ago Haven't seen much of Boddo lately. The good news is that his work is on The Scriptorium. Quote Selected
