Chant notation problem

Hi. I'm attaching a Gregorian-style song I have notated. I would like to have it notated a bit more traditionally, with words that are all sung on the same repeated note not having to have the note displayed over and over. In other words, lots of words attached to a single note. That note does not have to have an appropriate value, obviously. It can just be a "whole" note for the visual. I have tried the underlining trick and just can't get it to work. I hope someone can take a look, do it and tell me how they did.

Yes, but how did you do it?

It's all underscores and no hyphens between syllables.  So put an an underscore between each word and between each syllable.
A space will force the words onto the next note.

The underscore character is the one above the hyphen so you need to use shift to get at it.
Rich.

Thanks. I tried the underscore before but I obviously did something wrong. I understand now.
