Showing Chords for melody

Hi,
I have just started using Noteworthy Composer and I have version 2.1
I am opening .midi files in the application and then I am filtering out the melody/piano part wherever possible
What I'm after now is that somehow I also get Noteworthy to show the relative chords of the melody on top of the lines
I want this to be automatic (i.e not do them myself)
If there is someone who can guide me as to how to do this I would really appreciate
Thank you in advance and I really hope someone has an asnwer for me
Regards
Paul

G'day Paul,
I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, especially at this time of year, but NWC won't do this automatically.
I plays 'Bones, crumpets, coronets, floosgals, youfonymums 'n tubies.

It might be possible to write a user tool to simulate something like what you're looking for.  Contact me by email if interested.

Automatic chord display is one of the many things that LilyPond does "out of the box", although it only recognises non-inverted chords.  Together with my program that converts NWC to Lily, it should be quite simple to get this working, providing the layout of the score is not too complex.

www*philholmes*net/software/ has a link to my converter (change * to .).  Google LilyPond for a view of what that free, open-source program can do.
