how can i change the lead instrument?

hi everyone,
i know i'm asking a lot of questions, but I'm a pretty new noteworthy
user.
BTW, I use to write my own music on at least 4 scores and i want to change
the lead instrument (it set to piano as default) as well. is it
possible to do that?

press F2 (or to staff, properties) and go to the midi tab. go to change instrument. Change it to whatever you like! Its also a good idea to label it on the general tab so that you don't forget what it was.

It is also possible to change it during the staff. Try Insert/Instrument Patch ("i" hot key).

Or from the Staff menu, select Playback Instrument
