.BAK files 1998-08-28 04:00 am Whats the difference between the regular NWC songfiles that I see when Ive saved a song, as opposed to the BAK files which look like computer code?Ive deleted BAK files and havent seen any change. Why should I save each song twice, in effect?Takes up limited storage space, yes indeed.ThxJoe Quote Selected
Re: .BAK files Reply #1 – 1998-08-28 04:00 am The answers to this question, as posted in the newsgroup, are as follows:> > Can anyone tell me what the difference is between > a BAK file and an NWC file. Ive noticed I have two > of every file.thx> JoeA .BAK file is a "backup" file, which NWC makes for you. If your .NWC somehow gets corrupted or deleted, you can rename your .BAK file to have a .NWC extension then open it. It should be a fairly recent version of your .NWC file.-------------------------The Tools, Options, File tab includes an option that you can use to disable this (not recommended however).
