Thanks everyone.

G'day all,
I wonder if a few of "the usual suspects" would mind giving me a hand.

I've prepared a "Howto" for making lead sheets, or at least a description of the way I do it and need proof readers and critics to have a look at it.

If Rich, Rick, MusicJohn, Bill and perhaps one or two others could PM me to register their interest and I'll reply with a link to the PDF.  I would prefer "old hands" rather than newcomers as they are more likely to spot any errors.

Rich, when completed you can have it for the Scripto

Thank you.

G'day all,
just posted a new version with some changes suggested by Rich and some other corrections I spotted - download from the link you already have.  And thanks for the help everyone.

G'day to all my faithful proof readers :)

Another version is up - same address as you already have.  I think this one is pretty close...

Thanks

Happy New Year faithful proof readers.

Final(?) version posted in the usual place.  I have removed the layering example in the piano right hand, opting to go with just the restchord alternative.  A couple of you reminded me this was an excercise in creating lead sheets, not creative chord construction with layers ;)

If anyone thinks this is a bad idea, I do have a version with both. please advise which you think is the best way to go.

Thank you all once again.  I hope there isn't anything left that needs fixing...

Happy New Year Lawrie.

Looks good to me.

please advise which you think is the best way to go.

I like it the way it is now. As I indicated to you before, I wouldn't layer a whole staff just for one measure if I knew I could deal with the issue without layering.

Now if we had such a thing as a floating layer that could just be layered over just the required number of measures, now that would be different. (Yes I did send this to the wish list once upon a time).

Rich.

G'day all,
Final(!) version now posted.  Usual address.

Rich, do you want me to formally email you a copy for the Scripto or will you download it?
