problems upgrading from 1.75b disk to 2

Greetings,

Please can you help. I followed the wizard to upgrade from my NWC 1.75b disk.
Everything is fine and I download the update file.
When I run it it asks for the drive with the CD in it.

Up comes an error box.
Titled Noteworthy Composer 2 Setup
The necessary files were not found on the D: drive.
OK

Not what I want to here. I have some music which I have to learn for tomorrow.
What should I do?

Many thanks,
Stephen C.

What is happening here is that when you download the version 2 files and run setup, you have to have the version 1.75 disk in your cd drive (ie the old NoteWorthy disk) because some of the version 2files are built from the version 1.75 disk.

So as well as needing the information from the label to download version 2, you also need to put the 1.75 disk in the cd drive to set up version 2.

Hope this helps.

If all else fails and you can't get NoteWorthy working, you can always download NoteWorthy Viewer in order to learn your music (always assuming that the music is already complete in NoteWorthy form).
Rich.

Thank you Rich,
It is a day for computers not working. That said thank you so much for getting back to me.
I changed the CD drive and the 1.75b disk opened though auto start. I opened the disk via MSexplorer.

Brilliant I now have NWC2 on my new 'pute.

Many thanks again,
s.
