Musical symbols in song titles 1997-03-04 05:00 am Does anyone know how to get proper musical symbols into titles (eg, # (sharp) and b (flat)) which are not the normal ASCII characters? Ian Dedic Quote Selected
Re: Musical symbols in song titles Reply #1 – 1997-03-05 05:00 am All text in NWC is based on the Times New Roman font. This font does not include characters for the flat and sharp symbol, so this cannot currently be done directly within NWC. I hope this helps. Eric, support@noteworthysoftware.com Quote Selected
Re: Musical symbols in song titles Reply #2 – 1997-03-05 05:00 am Now that the Noteworthy font is installed with other TTF fonts in the system, it can be called up e.g. from within Microsoft Word. This would enable you to make up a title which included the correct symbol, which can then be "cut and pasted", or if you don't mind taking up disc space, import the first page of the score as a bitmap and then add the title. For info., lowercase d corresponds to "sharp" lowercase e corresponds to "natural" lowercase f corresponds to "flat" You need to use a much larger point size than the normal (alphanumeric) font for best appearance. I hope this helps. Quote Selected
