Copying Lyrics

1. Is it possible to copy lyrics from a word processing program into NWC?
2. Is it possible to print the lyrics from NWC?
3. Also, say you're writing an open score choral piece in which you want lyrics below each staff. Any way to do that without re-typing one set of lyrics four times? Copying copies only the notes, not the lyrics.

Help is appreciated. NWC is great! I can't adequately tell you how much time you've saved for me. Really appreciate you programmer-type people!

This works on WIN 98 (and did on my last version of 95-I think..)-
1. Start the Word Processor
Select (Highlight) a lyric line
Edit\Copy (or Cut)
Start NWC
Open the score
Select (Highlight) the staff to which the lyrics belong
CTRL-L -- select the ultimate number of lyric lines to be attached to the staff
Select the tab for the number of this line (1 for example)
In the text entry window left click to get a cursor, right click and Paste
Repeat as needed for more lines and other staffs.
Complain to NWC Support if this doesn't work. :)

You can cut and paste in the lyric window by highlighting
the text and then using the keyboard shortcut keys:

ctrl-x cuts
ctrl-c copies
ctrl-v pastes

These commands work to and from the clipboard so you can
copy and then switch to a new window and paste.

by the way...

You can keep both windows (NWC and your WP) active, for multiple cut and paste operations. Either use the Window Tile command to put them side-by-side, or else maximize them both and use Alt-Tab to switch between them. (Works in Win3.x, anway, as far as I remember it also works on Win95).

And, once more, the macro recorder can be of great value here. Just record the keystroke for the first staff, and then replay for the others. It's so simple as this.
