NWC takes a little snooze

Listen to the example attached and take care of the ending.
After the song is finished, NWC waits 4 more bars before stopping the playback.
I could understand if the MPC were still pending but no, the MPC is finished.

A small NWC bug or my misunderstanding?

If you look at your MPC, that is exactly what it does. It adds a 127 volume change three bars out, then zeroes it out a bar later. It does this for both iterations of the repeat, so it extends your play back by a full 4 bars, until the final volume change of 0 is performed.
