since Vista

My old computer crashed---This is a new one with Vista instead of XP.  Now, while I am working on more than one staff at a time, the second, or third, or subsequent staffs often disappear.  They can be made to come back by hitting the "play" button.  Very annoying.  How do I stop it?

This is generally caused by a display driver bug. It is amazing that this same driver bug persists in Vista. The best solution is to get an updated display driver that fixes the bug. You can also find a work around here:
