Editing text

Hi.

I used the "add text" feature to insert the date of my composition above the staff on the left, about equal in height to where NWC places my name on the right. However, when I printed the piece out, I noticed that I typed in "15" for the year instead of "05."

I can't find any way to access this bit of text in order to edit it and correct it. Can anyone help me?

The text is still there, but is so high it has vanished off the top of the screen.  You can still select it the same way you select other bits of text.

BUT:  To make it easier to see, add a temporary extra staff <Control-A> and move it to the top of your score <Shift-Control-PageUp>.  This will make your real top staff appear lower on the screen, and your text might appear.  Add more staves if you need to.  Once you've edited your text, simply delete the temporary staves <Control-D>.

Alternatively, you can adjust the upper vertical size - <F2> then the "Visual" tab - of either your real top staff, or a temporary top staff.  The maximum is 100.  If you adjust a temporary staff, you don't have to undo it later - you just delete the whole staff.

If the problem is merely editing the text, rather than trying to locate it above the visible part of the screen,  find where you entered the text, highlight it, and edit it using Control-E.
