Can't paste Cyrillic into Lyrics

I can type Cyrillic directly into the Lyrics, once I've gone through page setup and modified the staff lyric to use Cyrillic script.

However, when I try to copy Cyrillic text from MS word into the Lyrics window, all of the characters turn into question marks (for example,???-??

-???). A friend of mine who uses NWC is able to paste Cyrillic in from MS Word with no problems. Any ideas why I can't?

G'day John,
my best guess would be unicode in Word - NWC doesn't support it.

2nd best guess (silly question I'm sure but it must be asked) you have set the correct lyric font in page setup?

maybe your computer doesn't like you?
