Browser plugin is overridden by off-browser program

I've noticed that when I install the browser plugin alone, it works fine. However, when I install the normal viewer, for NWC and MID files, the browser plugin ceases to function (when I try to view the file in the web browser, it just opens the non-plugin viewer). I want to use the browser plugin version because it allows me to start in various parts of the song, rather than from the beginning; also, it allows me to print, while the other does not.

Also, if I uninstall the noteworthy player (not the plugin, but the exe version), the plugin still does not function, but the browser asks which program to use to run the file.
