x note heads

I need to be able to have a few spoken words in the middle of a vocal line, and want to represent them with a note that has an 'x' as the note head.

Is this possible?

No. I wish it was, it would mean we could do drum parts as well. You'll have to substitute the spoken words with actual notes. Try to pick some from the chord, this usually sounds better than random notes.
