help!! spaces! 2005-03-20 03:54 am a few problems with spaces1. How do you make an indent in the first bar of the music? When i print my music out, it's all straight and looks bad :/2. When you stick a dynamic or a dynamic variance into the music, how do you get rid of the space that it adds into the music? If anyone knows the answer to these problems...thx very very much~Hank Quote Selected
Re: help!! spaces! Reply #1 – 2005-03-20 06:52 am In version 2 you can fake the indent by Page setup / Options / Staff labels, and using spaces for the name of your staff. In version 1, you need to use at least one character. I'd try a period followed by some spaces, maybe with another period following the spaces.Your dynamic signs are probably set to "preserve width." Highlight them, press control-e, and turn that off in the Expression Placement tab. Quote Selected
Re: help!! spaces! Reply #2 – 2005-03-20 01:56 pm You don't even need a space. You can use an unprintable character. Alt-255 works fine. So enter Alt-255 and a lot of spaces as your staff label, and there's your indent. Quote Selected
