Instrument patch 2005-03-14 11:43 am i have Jeux and aweorgan loaded in my Soundblaster Live soundcard and they are available to select in the Staff properties menu. However I find that sometimes when I run a downloaded song, selecting the instrument in the usual way in F2 appears to have no effect- the voice remains as in the original version. Is it possible that changing an instrument is denied in some way> Quote Selected
Re: Instrument patch Reply #1 – 2005-03-14 01:06 pm It means that the instrument patch has been set at the start of the staff in your downloaded file by <Insert Instrument Patch> from the "Insert" menu (or with Hotkey I or i). In this case it can't be over-ridden from F2.Look for the ghostly (hidden) patch number near the beginning of the staff. You can delete it and replace it by inserting your desired instrument patch. (After deleting the original you can now also change the patch from F2 if you must!)As an alternative when you've found the hidden patch you can select it and edit it with Alt-Enter. Quote Selected
Re: Instrument patch Reply #2 – 2005-03-14 01:27 pm You might have two staves assigned to the same MIDI channel. This situation could also cause the described behavior. Quote Selected
