Joining notes

Hi Guys,
I want to join minims to triplets. I've tried entering the minims in the bars then I go back and attempt to attach triplets to them but it won't work. I've tried putting in the triplets first then attaching the minims but that doesn't work either. Is it possible to do?

I've had no trouble with your second method.

I'm not sure what you're asking for, Grant.

If you are trying to make 3 half notes in one bar into a triplet of half notes, just highlight them and press Ctrl-T.

Otherwise, I don't know what you mean by "join."  Are you trying to beam, slur or tie them, or something else altogether?  What types of notes make up the triplets you're trying to join the half note to?

With that info, someone should be able to help.
