partial transposition

the last 1/2 of my song changes key (D maj to E maj); I can easily insert an Emaj key signature; how can I transpose the Dmaj notes to Emaj without having to re-enter each note manually in the new key? Tools/Transpose Staff.. only works for the entire song.

You can transpose a section by moving it into a new, temporary staff, then using the Tools, Transpose tool to transpose it. Now, simply cut and paste it back to where it belongs.

You don't even need a new staff to do that. This is what I did recently:
  • Transpose staff
  • Mark the section you want, and Copy
  • Undo transpose
  • Go to end, and Paste.
It gave me the old 'Hey Presto' feeling.

I also do what Rob does.  Been doing it that way for a few years.  Saves a bunch of time.
