Finer control of slurs

I frequently write a sequence of barred notes (and chords) which has the barring at a steep angle from the staff. When I slur across such a sequence, two things are wrong for me: (1) the slur is horizontal - I want it to follow the slope of the barring, and (2) the slur ends well after the last note, e.g. sometimes into the next bar.

I want the slur to slope accordingly, and to end on the last note of the slurred sequence.

The solution is: Get NWC2. I find that visually, the most obvious enhancements are in the handling of slurs.

Try and enjoy.

I agree about going to version 2.  The slurs in version 2 aren't perfect yet, but they follow the slope of the notes, and sometimes create a beautiful curve which is quite acceptable, and you can do some tweaking thanks to the various note attributes such as variable stem length, invisible noteheads, etc.

As to the slur extending past the end of the group, are you slurring the last note too? If so, turn it off for that note.

BTW, it's called beaming, not barring.
My T.A. handed me my head over that one...
