Music Editing

Is there any way I can scan a piece of music and open it on the Note Worthy Composer for editing or to hear how it is played, etc. I really need to know so I can make changes to some music and hear how to play it. Mainly, because typing up the notes and everything then getting it to play is really time comsuming and doesn't anways work.

It's not something you can do in NWC, so far as I know. If you could play it on a midi keyboard and record it to floppy, though, you could then inport it to NWC to edit it.

Find a midi version and open it in noteworthy.  That should be what you want.

Music scanning software already exists, generally as a separate add-on to some other programs. The better it works, the more it costs. None are perfect. Unless you intend to get into that big-time, it is better to find a MIDI, or just transcribe the notes yourself.

Sharpeye is a cheap music scanning software that allows a 30 day trial period. It works reasonably well to produce a midi file which you import into NWC. With all music scanning software the quality of the original has a large bearing on the success of the conversion and is not always related to new music. Sometimes photocopies of the original actually work better.
