SB PCI WDM Piano voice problem

Ok, I have a problem here, maybe you guys can help me.

I use NWC to make midi files from hymns using actual sheet music however my piano (GM voices) voice wont sustain longer than a quarter note on a 120 tempo, So Im stuck using the Vibraphone voice because it sounds like there are rests with the Piano voice. as it says Im using a SB PCI 64 card and using the 8 MB waveset however the piano just will not sustain the note. anyone know how to fix this?

1. Have you tried using Ped and * ?  (From the ‘Insert’ menu if they are not on your toolbar.  You have to do it for each staff).
2. I am too lazy to use Ped, so I simply put legato (Insert menu/Performance Style/Legato) at the beginning of each staff – which seems to work well enough for hymn accompaniments etc.
3. Have you tried putting in some reverb at the start of each staff?  (Insert menu/Multipoint controller/MPC/Controller:Effects (Reverb) Depth; Style:Absolute; Controller Value [say] 127).

I'm not sure about the soundcard but have you tried all the different piano voices?  One of them decays faster than the others, but most of them seem to hold well through a whole note for me.

Rhodes and Chourus piano work, but any other piano the sound decays too quickly, anyone know how to fix this?

Ok, using Winamp to add reverb and chourus it sustains, quite well, only problem is Vibraphone sounds so cool now :-/

Funny, but Rhodes is the only one in my set that decays fast.

I don't use WinAmp, I'm just playing from NWC using F5.

But congratulations on finding a composition for vibes!
