A's and A flat problem!

Hey im kinda new...been playing piano for 7 years now..but new to the program. Anyways, on to my question. WHY do A's sound like A flat? im using the evaluation program so that could be why...im about to get the real one though... ive used the a flat alot in the begining of this song and when i try to use a regular a, it still sounds like an a flat...can anyone help me?

Nothing in the evaluation program makes A sound like A-flat.

Some possibilities:

(1) By any chance, you didn't use a key signature in which A is always flatted, did you?

(2) Somewhere early in your music, did you choose a tie (goes to identically pitched note, immediately following) when you should have used a slur (can go to any subsequent note)? If so, then you have a hanging tie, which is looking for a place to end later in the music. This is known as "stuck note" in MIDI, and can cause problems.

Oh Thank you for replying! I found out what the problem was though.. I feel REALLY stupid right now...its becuase i forgot to seperate the measures with a bar line, but i also didnt put a natural sign by the A...thats why...Sorry for wasting your time...im a dunce... Thanks though!

My guess is that NewUser123 perhaps has not entered any (or sufficient) bar lines and is finding that accidentals persist until the next bar line - as they should of course.

Try inserting barlines manually - use the [Tab] key or use [Tools] [Audit barlines].
