Version 2 double dots 2004-06-15 03:47 am I might have found a glitch in the Version 2 pre-release. Has anyone else found it and have a solution? In Version 1, you could have the no-dot/single-dot/double dot cycle by making sure the double-dot icon was to the right of the single-dot icon.Version 2 help states that this is still the case (although it doesn't explicitly state that if the double-dot icon is NOT next to the single-dot icon, the cycle is just no-dot/single-dot).I prefer to have the simpler cycle as I use the double-dot much less than I un-dot imported midi files, but when I moved the double-dot icon away from the single-dot icon, the cycle remained none/single/double. This was the case even when I moved the "double" icon to a different tool bar, or left it off completely.Apart from learning to live with it, what do people recommend? Quote Selected
Re: Version 2 double dots Reply #1 – 2004-06-15 05:51 am We are unable to reproduce this. In NWC 2, just as in NWC, moving the double dot icon away from the dot icon in the toolbar makes the '.' key only cycle the dotted parameter. Quote Selected
Re: Version 2 double dots Reply #2 – 2004-06-15 06:30 am I've found what the problem is. The first thing I do with a new program is make my own version of the tool bars. That way I can add and remove icons as much as I like, and still have the originals when I want them.Once I have my toolbars how I like them, I use just them, and don't show the original ones.It seems that Version 2 checks if the double-dot follows the single-dot on the ANY tool bar (including the original one), rather than just the displayed toolbars. When I altered the original toolbar by moving the double-dot icon, the problem was solved. This problem might also have happened in Version 1, except the double-dot didn't follow the single-dot by default.I guess my solution will have to be that I alter the original tool bar. Sure, there's a "Restore Defaults" button if I ever want it back, but it's not quite as satisfactory - there's no "Unrestore Defaults", if I need to re-adjust the toolbar again after a single-use of "defaults".Cheers, Ewan Quote Selected
