Prining Problem

When I print a score, some of the staff lines are very faint whilst others are much darker than the rest. is there a cure for this problem

This has been asked before. There's nothing inherently wrong with the program, or its internal settings. Possibly places to look:

(1) Do you have the latest driver for your printer (check on the Internet).

(2) If inkjet: Does the print head need cleaning, or is the ink supply too low? Problems that are not obvious when printing text can become very obvious when printing straight horizontal lines.

(3) Do you have the printer DPI set too low? If too low, line widths will be printed thin or thick depending on how closely the math rounds to fit the DPI. Again, this is most noticeable with straight horizontal or vertical lines.

(4) If (3) and you cannot raise the DPI, try printing to a scale of other than 100%, if the print dialog box allows it (this is determined by your printer driver).

(5) If (3) and your printer driver won't allow scaling, try installing one of the free methods for creating PDF (such as PDFcreator) and "print" using it. That will round the math differently.
