copy to other programmes

I have the evaluation version of Noteworthy composer.  After I have written songs, I want to copy them to, or import them into Microsoft Powerpoint.
Is that possible? When I try the copy-function in NWC, the paste function in Powerpoint will not be activated.
When I try to insert the notes from Powerpoint, an error occurs every time when Powerpoint tries to convert the NWC file.  What kind of file is the NWC file ?

There are at least two ways of doing this.

  • Use Edit/Copy Special and Paste. This seems to copy the whole staff so you might have to select the bit you want and put it on a staff on its own.
  • Use Print Preview/Copy/Placeable metafile. This creates a .WMF file that can be inserted into PowerPoint.

In the evaluation version, you can try these things out using one of the sample scores that come with the program.

Expanding on NoteWorthy Online's point: one of the restrictions of the evaluation version is that copying to other programs is disabled.  When you open one of the sample files, however, some of the restrictions are lifted, and you would therefore be able to copy to PowerPoint that way.  This makes sense, since this is the evaluation version.

as the others said, it is not going to work in the evaluation.  I highly suggest you register, it will be worth it.

You can go to Print Preview - zoom to a suitable size and do a screen Dump ((Print Scrn key next to F12) and bring up a suitable graphics viewer like Irfanview and paste it, do a select and crop the bit you want and save it to whatever format you want bmp or jpg or whatever. You will probably have some 'jaggies', but depends on what you're after.
