cadenza

Is there a standard way to create a cadenza in Noteworthy? I have searched, but found nothing.

NWC does not currently support varying number of staves in a single score print. You are free to compose a cadenza, or any other passage, but you are forced to print a common number of staves per system in the entire printout.

I hope this helps.

This may sound a bit bodgy, but why not just print out the normal score, and a separate cadenza, use the good old scissors and glue (I'm hoping your cadenza is at the end, otherwise this will get too complicated) to cut and paste in the cadenza. Then you could even use a smaller print size for the notes!!!

You may find that you can do the cutting and pasting using something like Corel Draw, or a similar sort of draw program.

I think the music typesetting programs that do this for you are some several hundreds of dollars. So if you need to do it LOTS, maybe consider upgrading.

Can you add partitures with variable number of staves to your to-do list? This can often reduce the pages to print and to turn over.

Thanks
