Beaming

Hi :)

I was wondering whether it is possible to beam like this

O  O
O  O
|__|

I haven't managed to achieve this as it will only beam either the top or the bottom notes in a staff..

Hope you can help :)

You will need two staves. Write the upper notes on the upper staff with the note stems going upwards. Beam them. Then write the lower notes on the lower staff with the stems going downwards.

You will then need to layer the two staves. Highlight the upper save and press F2. Under the "visual" tab you will see a box next o the words layer with nxt staff. Click on it to place a tick within the box. You should then find that one staff is on top of the other giving you your desired visual effect.
