graphic crecendo symbols

I like NWC a lot, but one thing I can't find that is in almost every other music notation program is a way of adding graphics such as crescendos (i.e. an extended sign that looks like a long <).  Am I missing something or do I HAVE to add it externally in a graphics program?

easy- go to the NWC scriptorium and download the cresc.zip file that contains the cresc. font.
then, just install the font on your computer and when using NWC, set one of the User fonts to the cresc. font.
then, when using a text expression, type the corresponding text and the crescendo hairpin graphic will show up as a text expression. However, to make the effect actually work with MIDI playback, you'll still need to insert the regular dynamic variances and then change the visibility to never if you don't want to see the word but just the hairpin symbol.
