Aligning and Enclosing a whole note

1. How can I align the whole note with the word or syllable which is the first among the group of words that need a whole note? What happens when I use the whole note is that the whole note appears in the center of the group of words.

2. How can I enclose the whole note with two small vertical lines?

1. The setting you want will apply to the whole NWC file. In the lyric editor, under the Configuration tab, choose Align Syllable Using: Start of Accidental/Note

2. This feature is currently unavailable. Add your request to the wishlist. For now, you will have to used strategically placed |'s from a font.
