Control on printing. 1998-01-19 05:00 am I thought that 1.50 version fixed MY greatest problem, but I can't find how. Maybe I misunderstood the sentencesthat dealt with print mechanism because of my bad commandof english language. What I need is to be able to reject one or more measuresto the next system when printing. This is very similarto the possibility in a word processor to add a "linebreak" or "page break" where we want, when printing. Also, when I choose "extend last system", I would likethat the measures of the last system be proportionallyspaced, instead of simply adding a big space to the lastmeasure.Do these features belong to NoteWorthy 1.50, or shall I addthem to the wish list ? Re: Control on printing. Reply #1 – 1998-01-19 05:00 am I think you need to add them to the wish list. Total control over the print position of a bar is a big wish, and many of us would like to have this feature. As far as the last item is concerned, may I suggest that you check via the print preview to see how many bars (measures) are on the last line of music and then prgressively add a space to each measure in turn until the desired effect is obtained.Do you understand what I mean ?Richard Quote Selected
Re: Control on printing. Reply #2 – 1998-01-20 05:00 am All right, I will add them to the wish list.About your proposal, I also supposed that I could do asyou suggest, but it would be too much pain. I will tryto live with a ugly last "bar" (thank you also for thetranslation!) until a new version fixes it.Many thanks for your reply.Olivier. Quote Selected
Re: Control on printing. Reply #3 – 1998-01-20 05:00 am I recently asked for a similar function that would be very comparable to a paragraph break in a word processor. Our band plays a lot of medleys, and I would like to be able tostart each successive song on a new staff while still keeping the medleys as a single edited file. I added this request to the wish list some time ago.It would seem that this would not be terribly hard to addto the program. The main problem, it seems, would be tochoose and display a representation in the editor to mark the break point on the continuous editor staff. Quote Selected
Re: Control on printing. Reply #4 – 1998-01-20 05:00 am As far as one or two last measures on a page, It's kind of a pain, but I'll adjust the page font to either make that bar creep back to the previous page, or extend more bars to the last page. It's not pretty. And it's a pain when you have 15 to 20 parts, all with a different number of measures. Also, the page size is not saved (or wasn't in release 1.31. Quote Selected
