master repeats and numbers

Dear Forum

When the master repeat is placed in the middle of a bar I have to dived it
in order to get two halves. NWC will count those two halves as "full" bars. Therefore I get 2 numbers there: one for the first half and another to the other.
Is there any way to have repeat signs within a bar and avoid the described
bar counting matter?

At the moment, NWC counts any bar line that has notes between it and the bar line that precedes it, and there is no way to avoid this count change.

Ok

Maybe some update in future will feature the option:
"Ignore on counting" in bar-lines properties.

All the best

Until that "Ignore on counting" thing happens (which would be FANTASTIC) I have found myself replacing the real barline right before the repeat sign with a text item - a fake barline - so that it doesn't count.
I avoid writing music that has half-bars in it in the first place, but when you have to make a part for a piece you're playing in orchestra, and it's already there, and the guy who wrote it has been dead for like a hundred years, there ain't nothin' you can do about it.

Good tip.
I've tried it myself.

Thank you

How do you add a bar as text? Is it properly sized for the staff? What font do you use?

I use a font I made (am still making) myself, but most any font will do if you use the | symbol (just beneath the Backspace key).  The sizing might take some tweaking (in my font, you just set the font size to match the staff size).
