System Exclusive?

I am having trouble getting my PC to recognise patch dumping from my Yamaha SY85.  I have a Motu Midi Express connected by USB.  The Motu's port one (1) midi out cable is connected to my Yamaha SY85's Midi in and the Yamaha's midi out is connected to the PC Sound card's in, is this correct?

I have managed to send the data to a bog standard freeware librarian so it seems to work but I have no idea why Cakewalk will not recognise the dumping proceedure.  I want either help for Cakewalk Pro7 or Cubase VST/24 I own both programs so any assistance would be extremely grateful.
Thank you in advance Sanvean!

I am running Sound Diver and am getting this message:

While Trying to open Midi Port "TTS Virtual Piano In" in function "Midi in Add Buffer" The error this is not supported use the capabilities function to determine which functions and messages the driver supports" occured.

How can I solve this problem, Thank you for any help!

These are questions best asked through the support channels of the products that you mention.

I realised that unfortunately after I had posted but if I get any answers I would be grateful.  I only posted because a search engine for the Yamaha SY85 brought me here. What is done is done I guess!

... along those lines, I suppose that George Harrison brought many searchers to consult gurus.

Just a slight touch of sarcasm there I guess!
You are validating my inherent mistrust of strangers.
